Who Should Attend Your Mediation
An obvious question is 'who should attend your mediation'?
The trouble is, the people who are up to speed on the situation are more likely to be the people who have seen the situation escalate from day one.
Frankly, the chances are they will be married to their opinions and quite dug into their point of view.
Adding someone more objective and new to the situation often helps. A fresh pair of eyes can work wonders.
It's also important to be respectful: if the other side has brought their board members, you simply cannot turn up with the office junior.
Equality in rank on both sides shows everyone involved you're serious about a resolution. It's a small point but it goes a long way.
